I’m not sure it’s a good idea for this it will broke the balancing.
The monsters can level up to 5 when heroes can level up to 10.
Your minions are weaker it’s the concept of the game you have to damage as much as you can before they arrive to your master.
But we will boost training of master (against tear / blood)
Any idea what the price range of this game will be?
Are the leaderboards with people having over 2 mil legit? I still can't hit a score of 18k.
Are there going to be more Masters than the 3 we see in the prologue?
Oh and thank you for taking the time to respond.
Heroes speed is unchanged when leveling up. Only health, morale and power are affected. The only way for them to get more speed is with the Speed buff passive available only to a limited amount of classes and only starting from tier 2 heroes.
Nice to see you've managed to improve the way you were playing to overcome the difficulty. That's what the game is all about!
The price should be around 20$.
Leaderboards are completely busted atm. That's always the issue with Steam leaderboards. The final game will have its own leaderboards that shouldn't be as easily hackable as the Steam one hopefully.
There's no plans to add a 4th master yet. Everything will depend on how the Early Access goes though.
You're welcome =)
Thank you again for the communication. I really appreciate it.
Other than that, I got the supporter's edition to check out the other master and I'll await news on the EA release. I can't wait to see what gets added and what balance changes you make for the Masters. This has definitely given me an interest in the Rogue genre of games that I have mostly passed on in the past.
Thanks for all the communication and the best of luck on the upcoming release.
From what I understand, most of the problem is that we're only playing the first half of the game. Heroes can level up to 10, but in the current game they're only leveling up to 5. This means that the difficulty curve isn't correct. When your monsters are level 2, they should be fighting level 3-4 heroes. When your monsters are level 4, they should be fighting level 7-8 heroes.
Instead, you're bringing level 4 monsters into fights against level 4 heroes. Naturally, this causes battles to become very easy.
My thought to resolve this for the Prologue/Supporters players is to just do a quick and dirty "hard mode". +30% stats on all heroes, or something like that. Wouldn't have to be balanced, or something that remains in final game. Just something to keep people engaged while the rest of the content is being developed.
Best not to cling onto superlative comments from people and remember you are trying to make a business and providing just some fun for a short while is bad for it. People will have no incentive to refer the game to other people if the game was barely fun due to the low effort when it comes to learning and overcoming it.
I agree with people that believe the game is not too complicated and the learning curve is not a great one. The game follows 'fool me once' rule and soon after your first failure you catch on way too quickly to consider it a good and engaging fun. Good for one for two playthrough, but not more.
You have only one ranking mode (with scoring). If you don’t like it you can create your parameters on the difficulty (and maybe duration of a run after), add some modding etc...
It’s not really a popup “easy/normal/hard”
