i remember all of the huntsmen and woodsmen had plague doctor masks but i watched a video of someone playing it and they didnt have the mask so is this just some Mandela effect shiz?

Had the same thought. Probably just the design is similar enough that even without the beak our minds fill out the gaps.

I don't think their masks act as plague masks nor as respirators. Maybe it's just something to help them talk (they aren't human as far as I know) or just protection from physical damage and such (is not working).
