What is the Undertaker pistol inspired by?
I'm actually really fascinated by this little thing in both design and function.

There is one thing IRL that kinda matches the functionality: blank guns. They have these adapters that are screwed on in front of the barrel and they let you shoot fireworks/ rubber balls/ pepper balls. It's kinda like the Undertaker's projectiles.

I assume this isn't what the devs were actually inspired by. It's probably just a way to implement something like the bow from Thief, a utility item with different ammo.

Actually not far off. Trey, the Fallen Aces developer, helped design it. It's supposed to feel like an early prototype of a silencer pistol mixed with the Blood flare gun.

I don't believe it's inspired by a real gun model, but I'll check with him.

Actually not far off. Trey, the Fallen Aces developer, helped design it. It's supposed to feel like an early prototype of a silencer pistol mixed with the Blood flare gun.

I don't believe it's inspired by a real gun model, but I'll check with him.

I was pretty underwhelmed by the Undertaker Pistol, to be honest. When I picked it up, I was like "Finally! A totally quiet way to take out guards.". Nope. Not even several headshots will kill them, and the only purpose seems to be to break lights and to push buttons from a distance. Which pretty much defeats the purpose of the silencer, doesn't it?

Not exactly stealthy though. I'm not a fan of alerting half the area.
