You can find a head in the freezer and I feel like a weirdo for carrying it with through the whole game but I feel like I'm meant to use it for something?

I mean, we're a doctor and it seems to be late 19th century so surely if we hold it in our hands, squint thoughtfully and make "HMMM" noises that will unlock +1 Damage to humanoid enemies or something, right?

Um, I found the head and body parts extremely useful for baiting dogs away from me then sneaking up and killing them.

No.

You can use the head to lure the dogs however.
