Idol Hands and Robo Life are also good for story, though you only manage a single girl in each. Idol Hands 2 has 2 girls, though I am unsure if the game has any significant changes from the first.
Succumate has you managing the guy instead of the girl, since she will kill you if the 'quota' is not met each week. Story might be on the weak side if you cannot find some of the timed events each day.
I feel like I have at least 2 more...will toss another message when I can inspect my list again but those are some of the better ones I have enjoyed.

It does some things better than Bifrost but overall I don't like it as much, mostly because it seems more focused on being a simulator and less on being a strategy game.
