Won't let me get past the part after you check basils house to see if he's there.

After I went to see if Basil was still at his house, I left and it won't let me get out of that general area where Mari's picnic basket is with all the trees and stuff. I tried loading the save file again and opening the game up again but nothing is working. What should I do?

interact with everything in the house if that doesn't do anything maybe you shouldn't go there and go somewhere else
