If you want to keep playing after the games ending though, I highly recommend you do the other route in the game instead of just finishing the side quests in this route since you're going to get a lot more content, side quests and bosses to fight if you do so on the last day in the other route. (until that last day though the two routes are pretty much identical, other than you not going outside anymore and a few other minor differences so I would just grab one of the save files where the person had already gotten past all that). Things just kind of flow better when you stick to finishing off side quests in the hikikomori route in my opinion. Some lead to additional side quests you simply don't have in the route you took.
Like I said, it's mostly the same as the other route, so there's not much you're really going to be spoiled on that you weren't already told from playing the game the first time. About the only difference for most of the game is there's no town segments. They're replaced with a chore minigame, and there are some dialog changes when you finally find Basil. The main difference really that make people play it is simply on the very last day you get a bunch of extra bosses, and stuff to do. It's mostly just extra content in headspace for people looking for some more stuff to do after beating the game which is why it's a good route to try if you're still itching for more content and side quests.
