OMORI

I feel as though I cannot replay the game.
I'm contrasting this game to Undertale even thought they are two completely separate games, and I don't want to make it seem like I'm one of those Undertale stans that thinks its the greatest game of all time. And I'm not saying this game is inferior to Undertale. Truthfully, when I beat this game, I left feeling better than anything Undertale had in it. Because the story was so well written and unexpected that I didn't know how it would turn up. I became anxious to beat the game, and when the game ended I was overwhelmingly satisfied. However, now that I've beaten the game, I feel as though I have run out of reason to play the game again. Sure there are little secrets that I can look for and uncover, but a youtube video can cover everything I missed in a fraction of the time it takes to go and uncover all of them, and I wasn't willing to replay the game and have to search every little crevice to find them without a guide.

Undertale had so many different opportunities. I could kill everyone or nobody, and the game would change exponentially based on whichever I chose. For OMORI though, a quarter of the way through the game I realized the endings wouldn't be affected by how much carnage I caused or whether or not I completed some of the quests. So this made me pretty much just try and finish the game playing however I felt like playing it. There was no choice for me so it feels like a waste to play the game again.

I very much enjoy this game but I wish there was more ;/

I'm not really sure what you're expecting for there to be. I'm guessing you know about the game's alternate route, which while similar throughout the main game's events has a pretty decent bit of additional content afterwards. Personally, when I replayed there were also a lot of things I missed on my first playthrough to keep me occupied up until then. Yes it doesn't have a substantially different main storyline based on your choices like Undertale, but there's a lot of things to explore and I think it certainly has enough to be replayable.

If you aren't ready to leave the game world behind
..then don't, but if you are that's fine. Maybe in a few years you'd like to play again
