[SPOILERS] Can someone please explain the images on the sketchbook? + Questions on the game

I finished the game on all endings and were not able to understand the story/explanation behind every image in the sketchbook.


Also, would really be thankful if you are able to explain these as well.

1) The photo frame with candles in headspace's Mari?
2) The 3 entities Omori created > The cat in the first room, Humphrey and?
3)Any significance in the floating mirrors in headspace?
4)How did Sunny and Basil end up in the hospital after the sleepover?
5) Any meaning for the tentacles appearing in headspace in every area?

Heyo! I can answer a few of these for ya.

I don't think most of the sketchbook stuff has meanings, they're all vaguely somewhat violent and disturbing, hinting at Omori's true nature as Sunny's suicidal and depressed qualities personified.

Regarding your other questions.
1) Yeah, I'm pretty sure its supposed to be a memorial for Mari, it always says 'Someone Familiar' when you examine it and given we only really know about one dead significant other in Sunny's storyline its pretty heavily implied to be talking about Mari.

2) Abbi is the last one, she's only meetable on the loner route. There's not much about her, but it could potentially represent Basil and his guilt about what happened.

3) I don't think so, there's a very low chance whenever you check one that the usual text won't appear and instead you'll get a jumpscare in which everyone's faces distort (and Omori in particular has a rather nightmare inducing face).

4) That one's easy, the scene where they are fighting is not just figurative, its literal, they're both unhinged, terrified, and beating on each other. So they wound up really hurting each other as they fought each other, likely someone else heard that (or they passed out) and where taken to the hospital shortly after.

5) The tentacles are related to Abbi, its heavily implied she's the source of them (she's hidden in the deepest part of headspace and has tentacles extending up into the ceiling in her background) but that's about it, it seems.

Adding to point #1 There's another photograph with candles in the junkyard, later in the game if you go back and interact with it Something will briefly appear and the photo will disappear.

which will make everything make more sense. although i hope there is an actual way to read this ingame, i havent found one (nor has anyone else)

It's not clear how Basil did or even the extent of the damage to Sunny's eye, I've seen some fan-fictions write Basil doing it with garden shears.
