Is it worth buying the game if I already know the story?

Yeah, it is. It's a wonderful experience, even if you already know the plot.

Yes, I got the game yesterday even though I know the basics of the story but it a whole different experience playing the game and it caught me off guard in a lot of ways.

I don't think so. A big part of the game is the build up to the reveal. Those experiences aren't engaging, to me anyways, knowing what happens.

I would say it depends. Did you read a synopsis of the story, or did you watch a full playthrough of it? If it's the former, I would still definitely recommend playing it, since a synopsis isn't going to do the presentation of the game and its story justice. If it's the latter, that's going to depend entirely on how much you enjoy the gameplay, since that's primarily going to be what's new for you.

I got spoiled on the main reveal, but the game was still scary and surprising with it. I still recommend trying to see as least amount of spoilers as possible when you play the game.

Uh, I wasn't trying to get spoiled.

Also here's the thing, I got spoiled by the wiki, and you know why? Because at that time, there weren't any warnings saying the article I was reading was an important plot detail. I didn't do it to myself, so stop acting like I did.

Edit: typo

I watched a video explaining the story, but I haven't watched a full playthrough.

I think that knowing what happens in it does change the experience a little bit, but it still warrants a playthrough. When you experience things firsthand it just feels much more genuine and different.

Brother it change it a lot. Think how hidden it is through out the game. Evdn on the steam page it barely go into detail what it about.

I say buying the game is a definite must then. The story and twist is a huge part of the experience, yes, but I think watching it unfold as you play yourself would do it much more justice than listening to a summary of it.

I think I'm sold on buying the game. Should I wait for a physical release, or should I just buy it now?

PS: Thanks for the advice!

I recommend buying a digital release, there probably won't be a physical one for a while.
