And if Omori was made only to tell a little story WHY THE ♥♥♥♥ AVERAGE WALKTHROUGH TAKES AT LEAST 20 HOURS OF YOUR LIFE. BAKA MITAI.
I don't know if you noticed, but Omori and Witcher 3 aren't the same game. What works for Witcher 3 and what works for Omori are in two completely different ballparks. Not every game needs a ton of dlc. Dlc overall is kinda ruining the gaming industry anyway since it causes developers to get lazy and give people half finished products with the promise of future dlc to make everything better, sometimes having games completely unplayable without the dlc.
I personally prefer back when you always knew you were getting a complete game from the start instead of needing 50 dlc's to suddenly actually have a game. Not every story needs a ton of epilogues and extra content. Not everything should be hand fed to the audience. Not everything needs to be addressed. Not every game needs to be played multiple times to still have an impact. Some games have a very specific story they're trying to tell, and out of anything adding more lessens the impact of the story itself, not strengthens it, just like how you can ruin perfectly good cookies by pouring too much extras sprinkles and frosting on it til you can't even taste the original cookie. I personally think Omori actually had TOO much extra content already which made certain parts of the games pacing become all jumbled and meandering, when it could have been made shorter in some of the dream sections, which would have fixed those pacing issues, and strengthened the core story. In that way more content doesn't always make things better. It can make good things worse. All you need to do is add the wrong element and you can completely ruin a story, just like adding a bit of soy sauce could completely ruin a batch of cookies.
It'd be like watching a film like Inception, and learning they created 4 dlc films explaining all the mysteries away, and showing whether or not the top fell over, completely missing the reason why people liked that kind of ending. It completely misses the appeal of these stories to begin with. I feel like fans are often so desperate for fanservice content cause they want it they don't realize that's not what they really need to ACTUALLY be satisfied, and that fans usually have no idea what they really want, cause if you just hand them all the fanservice and additional content in the world, the reality of it ends up extremely hollow compared to what you're imagining.
Man, MARI's cookies were so good?!
I know they add +10 to all stats but not that good...
Inception is garbage anyway.
I KNOW IT'S NOT THE SAME GAME. WHAT I SAID IS THAT OMORI FOR ME IS LIKE WITCHER 3.
AND DID YOU EVEN READ MY ORIGINAL MESSAGE? I KNOW WHAT I NEED. YOU DON'T NEED TO DEBATE MY EVERY SENTENCE, BECAUSE I KNOW I'M 100% RIGHT IN MY OPINION AND IT CAN'T BE ANY OTHER WAY. BUT HERE YOU ARE WRITING THIS ♥♥♥♥ TON OF WORDS WITHOUT ANY REASON WHATSOEVER NOT EVEN READING MY HEADER AND GOING SIDEWAYS TO SOME TRASH MOVIES AND COOKIES METAPHORS AND MR. JAWSUM'S INDUSTRY QUESTLINE, YOU THINK YOU BETTER THAN ME HUH? DO YOU HONESTLY THINK I WILL EAT YOUR TRASH PILE OF WORDS YOU CALL UR OPINION OR THAT I GONNA DEBATE IT IN SOME WAY? XD
THIS IS JUST HILARIOUS... KIDS THESE DAYS...
Yikes
Also, story-driven games don't always need DLC.
Adding a new game + mode would be cool though. Maybe add some interesting or spooky events.
I also doubt Omocat would make a story DLC, but I would absolutely love a short, 2-3 hour follow-up set in the real world where Sunny comes to town to visit Aubrey, Basil and Kel. Not going to happen I know, and it would undermine the ending's ambiguity, but I can still dream.
Yikes indeed
We all knew that toxic people would eventually come to the fandom, but this soon?
P.S. not subbing to this btw
He sounds like Recyclepath. It's Recyclepath all over again. His name is BILLY or what?
