Omori not launching Macbook Pro

Hi I have macOS 14.4.1 and I used to play Omori on it quite often. I frequently play other games and they all work no problem. Today, I tried to launch Omori, and the icon will appear on my dock, but the game never actually launches. Steam also shows that the game is launched.

I have tried everything. Deleting files, uninstalling the game, uninstalling steam, literally factory resetting my computer, verifying the game files, and changing the version. I also tried to find the nwjs thing that I kept seeing online, but nothing like that is installed on my computer. I would really appreciate it if anyone knows what to do in this situation!!

hi, i have exactly the same problem and i've tried to fix it the same ways as you had mentioned, but the game still doesn't launch. i suppose it's because of a new macos update. ( well from my pov omori stopped working on the same day as i had downloaded the update)

sadly i still don't really know how to fix this, but maybe it can help somehow

just bought the game today and tried launching it, but when it finally opens it crashes to0 (I have an imac for reference) :<

this is a common issue on apple silicon macs since the game isn't optimized for them, it only has an intel version. usually when i launch the game from the steam client for the first time it crashes, but the second time i launch it, it runs fine with no problem. i have a m2 macbook air also on 14.4.1.

same issue it seems to work if you relaunch it a few times

Im with the same problem y'all :(. In the past, just months ago and in the last year I could freely opened it without any issue

I have the same problem! I just bought the game and it wont launch :( So sad that my money went to waste
