It would require a lot of stuff in order fo ran online mode, Undertale was made in Gamermaker while OMORI was made in RPGMaker. So it's might be a little harder/easier but it's still possible I think, either try creating P2P servers or actual servers
By the way, Omori is a pretty scripted game. Scripts are executed sequentially. And for multiplayer, asynchrony is needed.
It would be very difficult to make a multiplayer mod. You need to literally recreate the entire game.
Most likely, it would look like a freeplay mod where you run around locations outside the context of the plot. Alternatively, you can redo the combat system. I think this is the easiest option for multiplayer, and at the same time quite interesting
The difference between this and Undertale co-op is that there's something for each player to do, avoid the attacks. Here it's what, each player chooses their attack? Has there been any instance of a co-op turn based rpg in this vein (not like x-com style)? It just makes zero sense.
I haven't played this game before, my friend and I were just talking about playing it together and I was thinking of co-op possibility, I have no idea how it would work but it didnt hurt to ask to see if there was one
