I hate using this as an example, but I can see where Toby Fox comes from with not doing another Kickstarter as it feels like any time I see a Kickstarter get prolonged, people feel owed when it is not a storefront in the first place and then seeing people on here feel like "they are owed for being fans" when this is not the first game to do exclusive content on other consoles as Undertale did it on 3 separate occasions (and even Nintendo has done it, with Super Mario 3D World adding on Bowser's Fury) and I can tell you it won't be the last.

Does it suck? Sure.

But just like getting that "brand new shiny console/computer/whatever" if enough time passes, which this game is a year and a half old pretty much at this point, said thing may get an update exclusive to it (the Switch even got an update that while it couldn't be hacked anymore, the battery life was increased a year and a half after release too)

While I was hoping the game would be updated, at least I understood in the end that it might not happen. (and it could possibly get modded in, in the future whether directions on how to do it to not give copyrighted material out, or Omocat being actually ok with it)

I mean even a game like Hyper Light Drifter got exclusive content just on the Switch, and it was never ported anywhere else.

It happens.

I'd be willing to pay up for the extra content as DLC and I think we're at least entitled to someone on the team taking like five seconds to answer a simple question.

Same thing here, I don't actually care about the answer is. It can be a single word Yes/No without further elaboration and I'll be comepletely fine. If I have to buy it again it will be on PS4 anyway so I will wait either way I guess.

To the above… gonna have to ask MP2 Games most likely as looking into it, they were the ones that developed the console ports (while Omocat’s studio did the original stuff on the Steam version) so they might hold exclusive rights to it.

Just like with people that wanted the Switch exclusive stuff on every other version of Hyper Light Drifter (Switch and iOS ports developed by Abylight Studios which hold the right to that exclusive content that never got put on Steam, PS4, etc.)

If a different company is involved and it makes the new content (and the “leak” may have been accidental since it was removed that day too iirc) then can’t help if it stays that way.

This coming from someone that really does hope it comes to Steam as I’ve said before. (even if I have access to things, including adding my Steam save to the Switch, but not Gamepass version)
