Help restoring save data
I sent my computer in to be repaired knowing that it was going to be wiped and was certain that I backed up my save data for Omori correctly through Steam, but when I use the restore feature and select one of the 3 disk files (it won't let me choose all 3 at once), it simply installs the game without my save. Did I not back up my game data correctly? I also have a copy of the application on my usb under steamapps>common>OMORI, but I'm not sure if that contains my data, either, because when I try to use the restore feature it doesn't let me select the application. I poured many hours into this game and would seriously appreciate any help at all in trying to restore this data.

Save files would be in OMORI\www\save but there's a quirk with the game in that
it can't read a save file in a slot where none existed previously so you gotta do this move:

Rename your save to something outside of the game's reach like file7 just for extra safety, then make a new save in-game in slot 1 and while the game's still running, delete it, rename file7 back to file1, then you might be able to reload slot 1 unless it's completely broken for sure, in that case you'll just have to start over.

So I'm a bit slow - I go into my files and rename the .exe OMORI application file that's in my USB to file7, download the game as normal (without trying to restore it using any of the disks), open the game, start a new game and save in slot 1. Then without closing the game, I delete file1 (which I guess would appear when I make a save?) and rename file7 to file1 and it's supposed to just load my old save?? Honestly I'm very confused so if you could confirm or break down the process a bit more in dummy terms you would literally be a lifesaver, I just don't want to screw anything up

Yeah, RPG-Maker games never cloud, I learned how to do this because I have a habit of putting old saves out of the way for replays, and so I end up re-posting this process a lot.
