POTENTIAL SPOILERS Basil's house or Humphry Vortex

So I believe im near the end of the game and i'm not sure if any of this will matter for what ending I get so i'm asking here just to be sure. Got the last correct key and the floor in Basil's house got destroyed so part of me thinks I should go there but then also there was a Vortex where Humphry was/ I'm really worried to pick one and maybe it potentially make is so I can't get to the other.

So simply put is this gonna effect the ending? Which one should I go for first?

Yeah, take the vortex. It's all quicker that way. You'll be able to do Basil's house anyway afterwards. You don't have to miss either if you vortex first. Though I'd also recommend wrapping up any side quests you might have, and giving a little chat to Mari for some flavor text before going to Basil's house.

Without any major spoilers going to Basil's house is one of those moments where you exit the dream world after you're done, like the thing at Sweethearts castle, so it's a good thing to save til after you're done with everything else you want to do for that day then head over to his house.

The vortex ultimately just brings you to the beginning pink room in the forest, so it's quicker to go through that if you're already near humphrey VS backtracking through deeper well -> highway -> pluto -> forest -> basil's house

but you still need to get the last letter in the haunted swimming pool in front of the resort, which isn't available until after you beat Humphrey. The vortex is cool though, so I'd reccomend checking it out anyways.

You can go into it and get the key before even entering last resort. Also yeah this was already solved anyway.

For context, it wasn't just this thread that got necro'd by Brady, there were about 6 to 7 15 threads from May-July 2021 that were necroed in the span of 1-2 hours last night. I don't think it's a bad thing but I find it kinda hilarious for some reason
