OMORI
If you like this game, play End Roll!
If you wanna play something with a similar atmosphere, I highly recommend this.
It's another slice of life horror RPG game made in RPGmaker. Plus End Roll is free!

Just wanna spread the love I have for End Roll. :)

Lol, phishy how? You can google it yourself then if you don't like the link. It's a free game. I'm not making money off of this. It's an award winning Japanese free game made by Segawa.
Thanks for the recommendation! I'll check it out after I finish Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass.
Is it your game? And can you tell us a bit more about it?

Not my game. Segawa made it. He/she is a really talented rpgmaker creator who also designs the art in the game and composes most if not all the music in the game as well.

I don't want to spoil too much by telling you about the plot. You can check it out on the website the introduction. But to sum up the intro, basically you play as Russell who is a 14 year boy who lacks any sort of emotion. He was enrolled in this "experiment" where he has to inject himself with an experimental drug everyday and go into this trance state, or "happy dreams" as the game calls it. In this dream, he becomes a resident of a quirky village with lots of lovable characters. He goes on quests with said villagers. If you play by the end of the first day, they'll reveal kinda what is the whole premise in the game. You honestly have to play it for yourself to enjoy. A warning though, it's just as heavy as Omori if not heavier. It can be pretty crushing emotionally once you reach the ending.

Just finished this game, thanks for the recommendation. Really liked it. It does share a lot of themes with OMORI, and it's pretty cool that it's free.

Yay! I'm glad you like it! Pretty good right? Too bad I can't discuss too much of it because it's hard to say anything without spoiling it for others... XD
I'm currently playing End Roll and I find it baffling that this game is free, given the amount of content it has. If it ever gets remade and commercially released (like Ib and The Witch's House), I think it will be comparable to OMORI in terms of world size. It's just huge.

It's their game, they made it.

When i first played Omori, i immediately thought of Endroll. This game was absolutely amazing and i'm happy i got to play both of those game blind.
Tho, it doesn't punch you in the gut emotion wise as much as Omori does.

I still remember that final optional fight, oh boi it took forever...

Two years late to the party but I just wanted to say that if you had googled End Roll you would've known that it's a game from 2016. Looks like someone didn't do their research...
