If you're willing to search around online, there's a freeware game named 'End Roll' that is pretty similar in concept (it's about exploring a dream world and the protagonist's past traumas)- but it's also harsher/darker, I'd say, than Omori.
I mean games that are similar in atmosphere. as I'm not a big fan of RPGS, with this game pretty much being the only exception.
hands down
OMORi seems to pay direct homage to RPGMaker "canon" at several points. Gotta endorse the classics.
