humphrey and slime girls in the real world
if space boy is a videogame and sweatheart is a movie, what are humphrey and the slime girls in the real world?

The Hiki route mentions a real world counterpart to Humphrey. You sort through your old stuff and there’s a book called Very Hungry Humphrey, which I assume is similar to the Very Hungry Caterpillar
Not sure about Slime Girls, but they might not have a real world source and might be a reference to the composer of a lot of the OST

The Branch Coral strongly implies that Humphrey is "The Oldest". Hungrey Humphrey is probably a book read to Sunny when he was a literal baby.

For real, that's my favorite part of this path. (at the time of this writing I haven't finished the sandbox) It was very interesting to step into his role and consider what Sunny would want to throw away. I couldn't bring myself to trash the "Piano and Violin Duets" book, or any book besides the tofu one.

I believe Slime Girls are sorta of a band. In the real world, I put a random cd -I don´t remember exactly which one but I could search- and the kid besides the juke box at gino´s pizza mentioned that is the new album of the slime girls Update: it was de nostalgic cd, and it wasn´t exactly a new album, but a cover

i thought that humphrey was supposed to be the representation of Sunny trying to repress his own memories only to realize they would resurface no matter what, but this was before hearing about the branch coral
