My first thought was that ramen is what the MC eats all the time since hes a shut in, and it also may be a joke with ramen not actually being fully digestable by our stomachs, looking the same coming out that it did in so you can just re use it lol

i've got a theory about that.
In Mother3, a guy is waiting in a line to buy ramen but the line is for the lady's toilet. So, i don't know if it's related but it does not seem too farfetched since mother3 has been a huge reference for Omori

I read somewhere that it's actually an inside joke between the devs that Omocat talked about when they felt like they had run out of places to put items, and one of them suggested in the toilet, so they turned it into a running gag.
