How do you escape sweetheart castle?

Where is the exit in the castle? Is there a puzzle you have to solve in order to get out? I'm stuck- I've tried looking in every room, I checked the dungeon (there was just one of the heart buttons I couldn't figure out how to push, though- is that needed and if so, how do you get it?). Thanks! ^^

Theres a ladder that goes to the main hall, the last button should be outside the main hall (its gonna be a long journey)

you need to divert all of the non-pink sprouts in the library, talk to the sprout in sweetheart's room with aubrey, help the sprout chorus in the music hall, and make the cake with the chefs. after that, the crowd should be gone and you can leave.
