Just play 3 copies of each: Toon World, Toon Kingdom and Toon Table of Contents. You'll basically always start with at least one of those in your hand, but if you still get unlucky, maybe add 1-3 copies of Watch Cat or Watch Dog too. You might start with a hand full of these also, but at least you'll be prepared in the event that Kaiba destroys your Toon World!
When you have Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon on the field, and Kaiba would attack it with his own Blue-Eyes White Dragon for mutual destruction, you'll be patting yourself on the back for having this savior of a card protecting your Toon Blue-Eyes from being destroyed by battle!
Don't forget that it only works for level 4 or lower Toon monsters! You can combo this card with Spirit Barrier, so that your Toon monsters will never be destroyed by battle AND you'll never take battle damage. But again, this amazing combo only works for level 4 or lower!
What is with this game and mulligans? I get so many starting hands with no monsters I can play.
I don't know why the game was designed without any inherent mulligan system, but if you want, you can add in cards like Reload or Card Destruction, which can act like mulligans.
I pretty much just made a DM deck and an Exodia deck, later made an Amazoness deck and just destroyed everything with these 3 decks. Occasionally I lost because of bad draws but that was about it. The opponent that had Exodia was one of the tougher ones to play against but that was about it.
The ones that use Seal of Orichalcus were also fairly difficult because their monsters were really juiced up. But if I used Exodia deck I could potentially trash them, them attacking 3 Old Vindictive Magicians and 3 Man-eater Bugs, along with 2-3 Mirror Force, and 3 Crush Virus traps was just brutality.
Amazoness deck is a bit unique because I can just field a single Amazoness Queen who makes herself and other Amazoness cards indestructible by battle. And then just run a deck with 45 cards so I just let the AI run out of cards.
I'm now playing GX storyline and I gave up on story deck right from the 2nd duel with Alexa. No point playing any story deck when I don't even get to inspect what card I have in said deck.
To make it worse, Joey's spell card Shield & Sword reverses the attack and defense of Bonz's monsters, and they are mostly zombies with 0 defense. This is devastating. It also counters his Castle of Dark Illusions, which is the ONLY card that can actually block Joey's beefy monsters with high attack power. Every time I play a Castle, Joey reverses its attack and defense and kills it.
The end result? Bonz loses 10 out of 10 matches against Joey. I don't even see how it's possible to win.
