If you want to play Yu-gi-oh with a friend, go and look up Yu-gi-oh Omega or Master Duel offline if you want something with more flare.
The downsides to this title is that it is missing a lot of newer cards so depending on the deck we want to play, my bro and I have to resort to Master Duel instead and the multiplayer is dead unless you have someone you can ask to play with or ask on the discussion boards to see if anyone will play a match.
If you do decide you want this game make sure you get it on a discount and do not pay full price for it.
Yes.
YGO Omega has a local option on the main menu and Master Duel Offline has to be set up in a specific way but both can be used locally.
