Better than master duel?
Is it worth a purchase?

If you are buying this to play against A.I. then no, it's not worth it. I owned this game on my Switch and I stopped playing it after I completed the story. You are better off playing the Tag Force games in the good ol` PSP.

^I disagree lol, the A.I is what makes this game worth buying. I'm enjoying it and master duel is good but I wish they held onto the old school feel. And there is multiplayer, I'd say its worth if youre a true Yu-Gi-Oh fan.

Do not pay full price though, at most it's worth 25 imo. Graphics for 3d models suck but the cards are very high defintion.

I got it on discount. For training purposes mostly and to chill. master duel 99% of the time can be frustrating compared to this.

Only issue this game has really is how the multiplayer (especially with friends) will result in the game not allowing for either player to do anything but exit or mess with settings. Likely this is a disconnect issue and the game doesn't know how to end the duel automatically. But this has been happening with me and a friend whenever our draw phase is over. M1 phase the game disconnects us without ending the duel.

We just can't do anything but leave.

I hear there are some interesting mods for Link Evolution that add a wide variety of new content. Haven't tried them yet, though

I used the Requiem mod and it was pretty interesting. The only word of caution I have with it though is that I used it before I got 100% achievements, so it ended up adding more battles I had to grind out to get those making it take longer.

I know achievements don't matter to everyone but figured I would throw that personal experience out there for the players who do care and are interested in mods.

Its way better than master duel cause its not p2w and you can grind properly because you are not limited to 100 gems a day like on Master Duel.

You're right.

If youre cool with mostly AI opponents and a older card pool then yeah go for it (on sale though). Personally this game is in a sweet spot for me and i use it to test older decks or REALLY expensive decks for master duel along with tinkering (also i dont have to worry about a giant rock from space, a ghost girl, or a earth bug while I play my funny pet decks). The worst part is theres no crafting, once you hit 3+ copies they are just dead cards to you and makes it harder to chase the one card you need but atleast you can just grind for more money and not insert a credit card.
