Almost like I could feel their hearth of the cards...
Oh look that one mirror force he has in deck. Then the murder all card one and I bet he got murder card two now and it was almost every single time
I want to restrain myself from doing my own deck untill I beat the duel with bouth sides but couple of the duels feel fixed or you need to do that one gimic like Mais Harpy lady crap with all the boosts or else you dont have the dmg to win
Often it requires luck with the story decks where the ai draws poorly and/or you drawing well to beat certain matches with the story decks.
Outside of Yugi consequently bricking his hand, there's little you can do with KaibaÄs story deck.
You have nothing to take care of "Heart of the Underdog", Yugi's main gimmick, your own spells and traps are mostly support and stalls, something directly detrimental to you and the overall speed of the deck is glacial.
It is tailor made to lose against Yugi's deck and it shows.
It's completely luck.
The story decks are meant to showcase very specific combos / mechanics or replicate moments from the show.
Yugi's deck only works because Kaiba's specifically doesn't have any answers to it.
His backrow is completely safe, allowing easy buildup of 3x "Heart of the Underdog",
He has plenty of field wipes and Kaiba has nothing to protect / recover from it.
Due to the HotU gimmick, Yugi's deck is full of monsters, making it significantly faster than Kaiba's too, which in turn makes it a threat even beyond its gimmick.
I am no expert on this game but...
Strategy if you can even call it that, is think short term, get big monsters out as early as possible and hit hard. Don't be thinking about a plan B because by the time you get that going, you have probably lost.
In other words... get very lucky with the cards you draw, while the Heart of the Cards fails Yami Yugi.
Kaiba's story deck can't do anything about the magic or trap zone (as a previous poster pointed out) making the swords of revealing light, heart of the underdog combo super deadly.
It also can't attack the hand in any way... So getting an Exodia piece to the graveyard isn't going to happen once it is drawn.
It also can't attack the deck to force Exodia cards straight to the graveyard. (Though this approach can backfire either when cards that break the heart of the underdog chain go to the grave yard instead, or cards that aren't the forbidden one, and don't help getting the forbidden one to the hand are the ones to go... which basically means fewer draws for him to get the forbidden one.)
And to top it off: Kaiba's traps that boost life points rarely are going to help the situation. And Crush Card Virus (I think?) allows Yami Yugi to get 3 draws closer to the win when Kaiba uses it.
It is a terrible match up for Kaiba. Play it a million times and your bound to win it once. (probably wont take a literal million.) This is one that even if Kaiba does everything right, he will lose a lot more than he wins vs the AI with this deck.
So, yeah, like others said before me, just keep retrying until you get lucky.
