Your opinion on Yugioh Sevens?

Started watching it and so far it seems to be the least-serious and least plot-heavy of all Yugioh shows. And that says a lot.

I don't think I'll watch it anytime soon, I've no interest in watching kiddies playing speed duels

Where could you even watch it (legally)? It's the only Yugioh series that isn't available on Crunchyroll, and AFAIK there's no other legal option to watch Yugioh subbed in Europe

This was the first time for me when i didn't like a single thing about the show. They changed the art style, first i didn't realized it was yugioh, I don't like the new duel mode at all, it contains everything i hate about the modern game, too fast, less fun(for me atleast). They changed the card designs, and omg its so baaaad, i need to bleach my eyes. The main character is annoying as hell and the plot is dum too. I guess its targeted for a very young audiance. I can accept the fact im not the target for this show, but still i think is the worst of all the yugioh series. The only posivite is the new duel mode and these rush duel cards are a separate thing so i can easly skipp them all.

Yeah, for now there are only fansubs out there. I usually wait for official releases. Just wanted to take a peek and came to the same conclusion as Sanyo.

honestly, you can call me boomer, but ygo died on 5ds, anime wise, the rest is just so boring and even more generic then the first 3 seasons, at least 5ds tried some stuff and suceeded imo, best season by far, after that, all downhill, no redeeming qualities at all, in TCG? i do enjoy how it is now, hated back in the pendulum days, since i actually tought synchro was pretty damn cool, link stuff i like it rn tbh, hope they dont ruin everything again

I mostly agree with you gotico. However I view Arc-V as an exception. It had some very bland aspects but also some really cool concepts like the traveling through the dimensions from the previous shows.

Did you watch the 4Kids dubs? Zexal subbed is an amazing anime. I wouldn't say I like it better then GX or 5D's, but it gets a solid third place.

Yes, yes I am. DM has a really bad pacing problem after the Duelist Kingdom arc. There are way to many flashbacks and reexplaining card effects that were just said about ten seconds ago. Most duels are 4 episodes and at worst 6 episodes. The other shows don't have this problem as they aren't running along with a manga and don't have to put 4 filler arcs into their already bloated episode count. DM should have been around 120-135 episodes, not 224. I honestly prefer Season 0 and VRAINS over it as well. Even with VRAINS being super boring for the first 2 seasons whenever Playmaker is dueling.

Oh and Anzu is even more useless then Kotori. Anzu just serves as an exposition dump for dumb kids that watched the show because it's a weekly anime and they have to explain things to them. It gets very annoying when your binge watching it and 1/3 of the run time is Anzu explaining pointless junk.

I like the long duels the most about the original show. Makes them feel more epic. And I never felt it was as repetitive as some of the later shows. I rather have them explaining a card effect in detail than blabbering "but you still take the damage" 10 times per episode.

I'd say there are some highpoints for DM. Duelist Kingdom is a wonderful arc and Pegasus is such a great villain that's just filled to the brim with charisma. Millennium World was also a very lore rich arc that had the strongest Egyptian attachment to it that none of the other arcs even come close to in comparison.
