Questions about mods.
Was wondering how mods affect online play. Don't know if I wanna get this on steam or switch.

I'm not even sure if you can get banned in this game as konami probably just droped it and left I think. As for mods personally I'm using card sleeves and alternative art mods and nothing has happened so far to me. When I actually can find an opponent nothing happens just normal gameplay. I would assume the same for most mods as well as long as they don't affect the actual core gameplay like the rules or basic things to make the game function, as those might cause a crash or something if you go into multiplayer with those things (I'm no expert though on that). Mods are looking to be great for this game though as there is already a dedicated few working on some neat things that definitely improve gameplay (such as adding duels and characters in storymode and editing ai challenge decks). If you want to follow the mods and stuff check here as there is not only a guide to editing files here but also a discord link to check updates. https://github.com/MoonlitDeath/Link-Evolution-Editing-Guide/wiki

Okay thanks for the reply. Just one more question based on something you said. "When I actually can find an opponent." Is it fairly hard to find someone to duel against on this game? I don't mind waiting a few minutes to get matched against someone, but I hope its not very long wait times.

I wouldn't buy this for multiplayer as it's mostly dead due to most people playing the the free non official ones probably also because of duel links being free as well. Unless you find a community to join who is willing to play with you or a friend to play with you on it I wouldn't buy it for multi. There is decent singleplayer content though. In the end unless konami starts backing this hard and updating it I don't see this becoming a center for multiplayer unfortunately.
