How do I unlock the duelist challenges? I finished the campaign but they're locked.

So if I go to the duelist challenges some are blacked out despite me finishing the campaigns. Do I have to do the reverse duels too or something?

Do I have to do all of them or just the ones pertaining to that character. Also if just for that character for the ones I have to do multiple of, do I have to do all of them (i.e. every reverse duel as Yugi) or just one?

You have to win all campaign duels against a specific character in order to unlock his challenges duell. That means you need to defeat yugi in every possible duell of the campaign first

Yugi and Pegasus are especially annoying in this regard, because it includes their duel in the GX section. (Fortunately, the ARC-V versions of characters are separate. Possibly because alternate universe although the VRAINS section puts that into question)

It doesn't. I completed all recipes for the first campaign duel challenges before I did anything more than the tutorial of the GX campaign.

Well looks like I'll actually have to build a deck, the campaign decks ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ suck, can't imagine doing reverse duels with them too

Gravekeepers do just fine in the first campaign. Blue Eyes go a long way up to 5d's at least.
