Do I need buy [Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist : Link Evolution] ?
If I already have the full game in the "Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist" version (https://store.steampowered.com/app/480650/YuGiOh_Legacy_of_the_Duelist/)

Is it still necessary to purchase this version of the game separately? Or can I unlock the content through the previous game?

So, if you get into the old game, will I be able to upgrade to this version of the DLC or something? because I wouldn't want to buy another game just to play Link Summon

but the price I don't think is fair. this is the point of the matter, because for me it is like an update from the old format to the new one (link summon).

it would end that I would have two different versions of the game in the steam library

Anyway thanks, I will wait for the game to be cheaper on steam

I also mention Street Fighter pre-5. Ya'll have been spoiled, back in my day we bought the same game with as little as four new characters and nothing else changed, and then we did it nine more times before they bothered to make a new one. Which did that twice but was slightly more honest about it by giving the original a subtitle and the updates numbers in theirs.

I agree and that is frustrating ...

the question is not because it is from Capcom, or konami, or whatever the company and the game ...

the problem is that companies keep doing these "complete updates" and release it as a separate game ...

I really like the game and I believe I will buy it in the future, but not for that price to support these attitudes.

Anyway, thanks guys, I ended up understanding more about the game during the topic.

by the time it has a discount the next version of game will be out. pretty much 18 month release schedule and 36 between new game, and there's only sales on the ygo game swhen the next one is about to come out.

enjoy not being up to date I guess?
mimizukari Mar 28, 2020 @ 10:58pm
it's a game that releases with ample content, way more than any other game gives you in a different release.. the difference between this and the previous LOTD is over 2000 cards and 2 master rules ahead, if you can't justify that price, I don't know what to tell you... Football Manager doesn't change much over 1 year, but Yu-Gi-Oh? Every year adds 600+ new cards with insanely varied effects that make decks much more fun to play and enables you to create even more variety in an already incredibly varied game.

Fyi switch only got link evolution, the free update was for those who bought it when it was released in Japan (it supported multiple language) to add more content that was in the multiplatform release. So basically the "free update" was only to make sure link evulution for the switch had the same amount of content as the other version. It has nothing to do with vanilla Legacy of the duellist.
