The duelists really need to be updated.
They're certainly outdated, and I'm sure that their decks are the same as the 2016 version as some of them use Soul Charge, which was banned prior to the Link era. The only guy to give me a solid challenge was a Pendulum duelist that spammed the omni-negate Mist Valley bird.

This is the deck that I'm using to eviscerate them in case you're curious. :fhappy:

i see deck editor is the same like previous version.. ow man this game is all the same..
Can you please share the list? I can't make out all the cards, and I woulid like to test your deck. Also, are you using an alternate illustration for Dark Magician?

Forget the decks, look at how completely incompetent they are at piloting them. Face it, the only real challenge in this genre is your fellow human, who you can only realistically find by searching for them outside the game itself.

This is what a typical duel with them is like.

That's strange, I see that you have Magician's Soul but I can't find it. I only have the robe and the rod. And it's the same for Danger! Wolfman!

How come there's some cards missing?

The worst Danger at two with a third in the side, Five Link without being able to trigger the nuke, and Dark Armed the Xyz. Yeah, there's a lot of room for improvement in that list, which admittedly helps to illustrate your point.

I definitely agree that Dogman is the worst, but he's the only level 7 outside of Nessie. Bigfoot and Thunderbird would be better, but I just really like the rank 7 line-up. Dark Armed and Five-Headed are mostly filler since Dragun of Red-Eyes isn't in this game.

How did you do that? Did you changed the picture yourself?

Just don't play against AI if you want a challenge.

And most story decks do as well.

But some decks have been updated. Weevil uses that new cocoon card to summon his moths instead of having the amulet of ambition and Jaden uses Stratos, which wasn't in the first game. There are probably some more minor changes I haven't encountered or noticed.

stratos and cocoon card let the respective characters do the respective thing in that anime battle easier.

Once you get a decent archetype focused deck, you can stomp anyone who doesn't run a control deck. Those are a little harder to deal with.

In the single player modes, the entire ban list is ignored. You can run three Soul Charge or three Pot of Greed if you want. The only problem I noticed was that the character that you play as tends to have poorly built decks, especially in that match against Mai in Duelist Kingdom where she runs all the new Harpies and the early Jaden decks where it is far more luck dependent
