Crafting and Storage
I know that crafting will pull from adjacent storage. It should pull from any storage in base imo. feel like that's a pretty common mechanic/QOL nowdays. just kills it for me if I have to run around moving crap from storage to storage. Especially if I'm playing with a controller.

Agreed. This QoL has to become the standard in any future crafting games.

This has been asked for since the Next Fest demo run, (if not longer). Just have to be patient, since if it is going to be added, it will be added in the next big content update. There isn't going to be an update just for one QoL feature.

Yeah this was my second biggest drawback from continuing to play the game.
If it was a survival game where locations of things mattered in your base, I'd understand.
But the tower is pretty mechanically, spatially, and even chronologically separated from the world. There is no danger, position is arbitrary outside of aesthetics and, chests being adjacent to crafting stations.

In fact, chests don't really seem like a good mechanic in the tower at all. Going and shooting a few trees to put down a ton more chests means theoretically infinite storage, anyway. So I think the tower should just move storage entirely into a singular vault of some sort. Then the crafting stations can just use that, instead.

Upgrading chests also isn't a gameplay feature, just QoL, means you spend slightly less space dedicated to storage and slightly less time running around shoving things in places that hopefully make sense.

just download the mod tbh
thats what i did with a friend
it increases the AOE for stations drawing from chests by like x15

not sure abouot the last part in ur comment
you can upgrade chests in the game
by placing the bigger one on top of an already existing smaller one

the largest chests in the end you find are quite big and with the mod this game is so much more fun in crafting n grinding

https://thunderstore.io/

is the app we used to mod the game , super convenient and easy to use.
(Larger chest range) is the name of the mod I believe in the list after you install the app

Outside the use of mods, does the chest range ever increase or is this it?
