Besides that... honestly hard to say. Things could use some balancing, but not by increasing stack sizes by 2 to 5 times what they currently are. At the time of starting I can see someone wanting more space or bigger stack limits, but after a couple runs I can see the need for some inventory limits. Without it the game play could feel off.
I totally see where you are coming from. In the early game you really feel the crunch in personal inventory space as you collect everything, because it feels like you need it all. However, in mid to late game (or even on a 2nd run) I really don't see a full inventory as being much of an issue since I stop hording easy to get stuff or early game items. Plus later backpack upgrades help more than I expected. The stuff I get often feels rewarding enough.
I find that if you focus on collecting just certain things you need the most and avoid some fights, the inventory space works pretty well. The game really doesn't like it if you grab a wide variety of things. But then again, that could be fighting against the typical gamer habit of hoarding everything, and that's been shown to be a force of nature in of itself!
