Worker Cat

My Shop has 5 slots - The worker cat requires 6 items now - how can I open slot 6 in the shop ? I looked in the very,very long research tree and could not find it.
There has to be a way to make my cats happy - I miss something - please give me a hint.
Thanks and congratulations - this simple looking game has a very nice learning curve.
P.S.
Is there a way to see the Money, belts, fish, .... all the time ?

Here you would want to sort the cats to another store specializing in there goods requirements.
