Tesla vs Lovecraft vs Tesla Force
On the Origin of Tesla Force

We have been asked many times how this game differs from Tesla vs Lovecraft. Let me try to clear the differences between the two games.

Tesla Force is an evolutionary step away from Tesla vs Lovecraft, a game which we made 3 years ago. We've listened to the fans, and remodeled the game to bring you something new.
While we do use some assets from the previous game, Tesla Force is a game entirely of its own. By changing some key aspects of the game, we have achieved something different, and new. By building upon an existing game, we can reach further.

To quote Sir Isaac Newton: "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants."

Roguelite
Tesla vs Lovecraft is an arena shooter. All of the gameplay is limited to that singular arena. Choices made in the arena bear no consequences outside the arena. You either die or live long enough to see yourself become a victor. The metagame outside the arena is simple. You progress on the map and use crystals to unlock helpful boons.

In Tesla Force, the gameplay transcends the limits of the arena. You will have meaningful choices both inside and outside the arena, beyond simply acquiring upgrades. You can choose your path to travel, along with the challenges and rewards that come with it. You can risk it by challenging the Elite Monsters for Rare Perks, or you can play it safe and settle for lesser rewards.

While levels in Tesla vs Lovecraft were handcrafted, Tesla Force sports an endless amount of procedurally generated levels.
In Tesla Force players can also equip weapons and perks at the start of each game, so they'll have a limited chance to build their characters, instead of always starting from zero with nothing but a pistol.

More, Much More
Compared to Tesla vs Lovecraft, we have added so many more features to this game. We have 4 different playable characters, each with unique aspects. While Nikola Tesla is the master of Special Abilities, Marie Curie can dual-wield small weapons to great effect. Lovecraft can use spawning points to spawn an aberration mount and warp the reality in his favor, and Mary Shelley has an autonomous bodyguard named Mechenstein.

We have also added a hefty amount of new weapons, powerups, perks, and monsters. There are also various interactive objects in the arena, such as mountable Tesla Turret, Healing Device, Sacrificial Statue, and Wishing Well.

While there was only one objective in Tesla vs Lovecraft, to survive, in Tesla Force there are 5 different mission types, each with different objectives. Fixing Inhibitors will require nimble feet while closing Aether Rift will require you to stand your ground. Destroying Cthulhu Statues requires firepower, whereas Surveying the Hive asks for endurance.

Quality of Life improvements
We have upgraded the engine, and with it, we have real-time shadows and advanced lighting techniques that makes the action look much better. Players can now also switch weapons, allowing them to use weapons best suited for their current situation.

To summarize:
  • Randomly Generated Levels
  • 4 unique playable characters
  • 5 different mission types
  • Multi-choice worldmap
  • Unique Boss Fights
  • More permanent upgrades
  • More Weapons, Monsters, Perks, Powerups
  • Carrying two weapons at a time
  • Play session length 3min -> 30min
  • Interactive Objects in the Arena
  • Mystery Events with Risks and Rewards
  • Real-time Shadows and advanced lighting

Stages are too short. Doom clock forces you to speedrun. When you have enough perks the game stops and perks don't carry to your next zone. Also not enought charges for abilities and they do not seem to repleish often in each stage (which are allready too short) means that you either only play as tesla and sacrifice cells to use abilities,

Sorry to bother, but I wanna know why weapons beyond tech tier 7 are unavailable(I 'm in cycle 4 now,all achievements unlocked)? What's more, when I used controller to play,I saw unlock button(which is Y on the controller),said need 2560 crystals to unlock. However, when I gained crystals more than that amount,I still failed to unlock. It simply requires to play more to unlock,or it's a bug?Would you please solve my confusion? Thanks a lot.

Roguelites are an insult. No sale. Removed from list. Way to cut your self out of sales by not providing a checkpoint OPTION.

The most important FAQ is how 10tons straight-up abandoned this game blatantly unfinished and just walked away.
