Network error 65
Hello,
I have created a dedicated server and can access the server without any problems, a 2nd friend can also access it without any problems. But then another friend doesn't, he always gets network error 65. What could be the reason?

Are you all accessing at the same time? Or individually? The friend who can't connect how does his hardware stack up versus you and the other friend? It could be timeout issue where loading the game after joining the server takes too long and the server goes back to the lobby.

Here's a thread on the top topic from a year ago and some settings you can add to your server's engine.ini to maybe fix it.

The friend with the timeout has a slightly better PC than me and that he uses AMD CPU/GPU and the rest of us use Intel/Nvidia without the bug.
We will try it and hope it works. Can let you know tomorrow if that helped or not. Thanks for the help.

Can he join either of you in a more direct fashion? IE You start a game without the dedicated server and he joins directly. If not, it probably has something to do with the network settings. I mean two of you can connect so the server seems to be working it's just your last friend's settings that might be off.

Some network things that I've seen cause issues in the past are more than one network adapter turned on and active and static IP versus dynamic. Maybe there's some other settings too. It might work just to go through your settings with him and compare to see what's different.

You don't know this friend :D He doesn't know anything about PCs and throws a rage after a short time if something doesn't work! It's very difficult to explain things to him calmly, plus he's dyslexic. Out of desperation, he has now sponsored a GPortal server for us and we are starting from scratch. So that's that for now. But I also think it has something to do with his network settings.

Haha, well good luck with that then. In the future an option would be to look at Discord's simple streaming feature. Would be very easy to have him setup streaming then you watch and instruct him on what to do to make adjustments.
1) I read that sometimes changing the region in Steam helps to solve such problems.

2) It is also possible that disabling the firewall will help.
