My character was deleted

The message when i highlight my main character.

Maia was left behind on the drop and permanently lost. Delete this character and create a new one.

Why did this occur and what does it mean???

Hi! There is a problem connecting to my character in the game. Requires me to delete it because I couldn't enter the game for several days. Please urgently restore it, there were also a lot of items from the workshop!

I just created a new character. Both my level 10 and my new level 1 disappeared off the list of characters. I get her up to level 4 before quitting for the night. I come back today to find my level 10 character back but with the warning that she has been left behind and needs to be deleted. The same level 10 character I already deleted because of this error. And my level 1 from before is back too. Of course my new level 4 is gone though. So now the game is basically forcing me to play the first 4 levels over again for the third time. I'm done with this game until they fix this ♥♥♥♥. All that grind for 2 separate characters and both taken away from me. Shameful. This is the first thing that should be working before anything else or the game is UNPLAYABLE.
