Icarus
Naming objects
One thing that'd be really nice to have is the ability to rename storage objects, or for example drills,. One example of the latter is when I look at my flow meter I see 6 electric drills all named exactly that, and I have to remember which one is which based on the distance away from my base or the markers that are on my map. If I could rename them, I could control power much more consistently like "Oh, Copper drill has been running a while, I'll remotely turn it off to make room for the platinum drill". Something like that.

Crates would be SO much easier to coordinate with friends if I said like "Oh put it in the ore chest" and the tooltip when you aim at a chest ACTUALLY says "Ores" instead of "Wood crate"

Totally agree on this having to search in every storage crate
Have any of you discovered "signs" yet...?
The "signs" have great options :)
It may be that they want us to "craft" for the things our prospector's want...

Instead^ of an integrating a feature that requires, nearly, no effort to attain...

The problem with the signs is that you can't 'attach' them to walls, or the crates, which makes it very difficult to have a labelled storage room. Hell at least back in ye olde days of Minecraft pre-mod days, you could still put a sign on the wall above a chest to save space and label a chest room. in Icarus the signs must be placed in front of, or beside the chests and if you want a 'top/bottom' row type labelling you gotta squash the words appropriately. Being able to label the tooltip is not as hard as people think it'd be to add.
The "request" is not new...
"This" is what they gave our prospectors...
Figure it out... :)

If you have the patients...
There are some "screen shots" available...
Looks a little "goofy", but it works :)

I understand "signs" may be needed in "multiplayer" sessions...
Solo...?
Don't^ really need "signs" to locate resources in the "shelter"...

Just know where everything is...
Usually...
:D lol^

I believe this game improved my memory :)
