Icarus
Deep Ore Deposits, Talent Point Conversions, and Attachments
After having an almost maxed character and almost 400 hours in game I've done more open world and missions than I care to count. Through it all, and the countless times I've built up through the tiers this is my suggestion:

1) Change the mining rates for easily attained materials from deep ores so that the rates are faster for the more common ores. This includes stone, silica, salt, and sulfur. For these ores I really think the speed should be twice as fast simply because it's already fairly trivial to mine hundreds of them - it makes no sense to have to wait hours for the same amount of common ores when you generally needs a ton of them when doing any considerably sized build (especially silica). The ease of being able to mine them automatically is greatly offset by the slowness making it absolutely not worth the time investment.

2) Now that I'm nearing the point where I'll have learned every recipe, I'm still playing the character and it would be awfully nice if I could convert those blueprint points into talent points at perhaps a sliding scale - the first one needs 5 blueprint points, the next 7, 9, 12, 15, etc infinitely so players who really want to max their character can. A secondary option would be to retire the max level character for a permanent 2 talent point increase to new characters for each one retired. Either way - something that enables continued growth beyond just blueprints would be amazing.

3) Because I like to do large builds, attachments for increased silica or sulfur would be awesome too. Even better, if we could augment the deep ore drills with augments similar to weapons, that would increase their efficiency when mining that particular deposit type.

These are just some humble suggestions that would greatly increase the fun factor without compromising the games integrity and progression. Being able to convert blueprint points into talent points would be a give and take - if low level players would rather sacrifice recipes for a few additional talents, it's up to them, but max level characters would start to benefit from it more and with age comes experience.

Thanks for the amazing game!

*Update* Ok I'm an idiot but I did notice that Times per Ore are different between the nodes and the wiki confirmed it. However, I still think that the rate for Silica (which takes longer to mine than Iron) is a bit high considering the sheer amount needed. The current rates for Salt, Oxite, and Stone are 15/10s per ore which is reasonable, and I believe Silica should follow suit, or at least be similar to Sulfur (20s) but not the current (35s)
