Music at night unnecessarily frightening

I started playing yesterday and noticed the beautiful daytime music at day which gave a chill vibe while playing.
I just cannot understand why the night has to sound that frightening and dramatic.
As soon as I'd have a nice more or less safe base I would relax on a beautiful balcony instead of shivering inside my comfortable home. :)
Maybe we could choose the type of music we wanna hear to make it fit better to the gameplay.

It would make sense if the night is more dangerous. Looks like they initially planned to make night more dangerous, I don't know...

It was surprising to me, that they do not follow the standard formular of night = you better be well equipped wandering around at night.

Because the music certainly made me expect that kind of design.

When I realized that night is not really more dangerous, but just dark, I started to see things similar to you.

The music is just atmospheric, meant to put you on edge, nothing more.
