need help with platinum

Hello, I don't understand how to mine Platinum, I already have the Iron Pickaxe but I cannot mine it ... and there are no other tools in between. What is it mine with? Thanks

Steel pickaxe.

It's the next tier up.

Tech tree tier 2 .. it's right behind the iron pickaxe.

You need to make the concrete furnace that's in tier 3 to be able to make the steel bars.

Mortar & pestle - combine iron ore and coal to make steel bloom. Put steel bloom in the concrete furnace for steel bars. Use steel bars on anvil to make steel pickaxe.
