Combine structure blueprints in tech tree
Blueprints for structure parts currently cost too many tech points.

Drop time, biomes and material progression means building parts could easily be combined without unbalancing the game loop. It would also improve access to build options and character hybrid roles when in smaller player groups.

I suggest dropping the points investment to:

Floors/half-floors
Walls/Pillars
Ramps/Stairs/Roofs
Doors/windows
Railings/trapdoors/ladders

This price drop would make investment in early and late tier building patterns worthwhile beyond Wood/Stone while still allowing players to access non building blueprints for to help with game play outside building structures.

Absolutely agree. It's a big culprit of the blueprint bloat. Is spending a blueprint point on thatch window flaps equal to steel bloom? Of course not. It's completely unbalanced.
I initially thought adding more blueprint points but your idea is so much better one point gets you all thatch construction, wood, stone, and so on.

either that or make it so each prospect mission you choose which blueprints to unlock. once you unlock stone structures your never going to build thatch ever again so make it a choice before each prospect what you want to be sent down to the planet with
