An Unreal process has crashed: UE4-Icarus

After today's update, the game was launched and upon loading my character to its prospect the game closes and an error is displayed.
"Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x0000000000000010"
"Icarus_Win64_Shipping"(about 15 times)
"kernel32"
"ntdll"

Verified game files, two files missing and updated again.
Still same error.

Anyone else having this issue?

There's another post about something similar. They had to verify multiple times. Try verifying again. Yeah, I know it's a pain but it may be the only option right now. If that doesn't work try uninstall/reinstall.

Thanks @macdallan, I reinstalled the game, but still getting the same error.
Verified the game files again and still getting the same thing.....
I really hope my character isnt deleted cause of time running out on the prospect.

I have seen something like this before. Check your anti-virus software for quarantined files and make sure Icarus is in your exceptions list for the anti-virus software and your firewall. Re-verify after you check these things. Check your SSD/HDD for errors, too. It might be writing to a bad sector and causing recurring issues.

I had this happen when epic games launcher was open. closed epic games, worked fine.

I dont have epic games installed.
I disabled my AV and FW, ran the game, same results. I also did a integrity check and still a no go.

Oh also, SSD is fine, this only happpened after applying today's update.

Here is something, I decided to create a new character, and the game runs fine. But I cant load my main, it is stuck in a mission.

Yep it was because it didnt like the mission i was on, removed my character from the prospect and had to load him into a new one. Would of been nice for an error to say that.

the same here. Game always ran well, started a new mission and played for 15 hours. Then I went to the quadrant G/14 and since then I can not cross the border between G/14 and H/14 without crashing. Everything else runs fine. Unfortunately I have to cross this border and have exotic matter behind it, which I will probably lose now. :(
