That's irrelevant, this is entirely up to how much time and resources is Inti Creates willing to spend on crossplay. It's no more difficult to have crossplay with the Switch than with say, iOS or the Xbox One, it's all up to how platform agnostic their "Netcode" is.
I think on switch they're using nintendo's servers.
Inti Create does console games and then ports them. There is a world of difference between planning for crossplay from the get-go and trying to make two completely independent netcodes play nice with each other after the fact.
As far as i know, Warframe no longer cross-plays with PS4 because PS4 updates is way slower than PC and couldn't keep up; so Warframe Devs decided to just separate them. I haven't touched Warframe in years so i'm not sure if this is still the case.
