Trouble figuring out the last couple of achievement endings
Any advice on getting 'Transformation' and 'All For Naught'? Haven't been able to figure it out in my runs so far.
Thanks!

UPDATE: I figured it out! You can read below or check out the info in this guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2859772388

You can get Transformation by letting Dys blow up the wall and then finding him in the ridge at the boss location. Let him become a Gardener and then tell Sym you want to be one too. I don't know how to get All for Naught. All I know is you're somehow supposed to get the colony destroyed.

I figured out All for Naught for anyone reading (EDIT: updated with more details)

First, you need low or medium colony defense. Then you need to do the events up to the Array ending where you hunt Noctilucent through the swamp, fight him a couple of times, but DON'T actually disconnect the array (don't go to the boss area after fighting). Basically, you're showing that humans are a big threat and he'll bring enough firepower to wipe out your colony at the end of the game.

You need to do the events up to the Array ending where you hunt Noctilucent through the swamp, fight him a couple of times, but DON'T KILL HIM (don't take the third fight). Basically, you're showing that humans are a big threat and he'll bring enough firepower to wipe out your colony at the end of the game.
I really don't think that's it. Mainly because I just tried it twice and just ended up with generic endings both times.

Out of curiosity, what were your colony defenses at the end? High, medium or low?

Medium, but I can do some experimentation to test different defense levels.

What about stats? What was your highest and what number?

I don't think its stat related, but just tested - high defense does prevent the ending. Thanks for the info! Make sure you have medium or low defense if you want the ending

I'm just wondering cause an said in the other thread you're supposed to fail a skill check. But maybe they meant the defense check. But I wouldn't call defense a skill.

I haven't been able to find anything in testing relating to failing a skill check. I also saw those comments and tried failing different skill checks intentionally in the game, but nothing really made a difference.

By the way, I put this info and some other ending/achievement info I didn't find in other guides in a new guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2859772388

Great guide. This is just my personal opinion but maybe don't put everything behind spoilers. If someone is reading a guide, they're willing to be spoiled.

I want to ask. Because I let Dys blow up the wall, saw him in the ridge, accepted his decision to be a gardener but got no option to ask Sym if I can be one as well. Is there an additional requirement for this?

Maybe you need enough materials for both of you? I think it's 3 crystals and 3 strange devices so for both of you, you might need 6 of each. If it's not that then I have no idea.

Oh dear, I had 6 for them and it only has Dys to be juiced up....I'm not sure what else to do...

No need for extra collectibles. To get the choice to become one as well, you need to have met the overseer, which is one of the last sym events. It's the one that gives the card "Meeting the Overseer".

I see, in that case I believe I know now what I have missed.

Thank you!
