Helping tangent progresses her character, she will discover useful research that has tangible in-game affects on your colony. Rewards can including:Saving specific people from dying, unlocking additional pets, additional cards to use.
It also changes the ending she has. Each character gets their own page in the endings section.
Friendship is only useful for progressing your relationship and having the character take your side in certain events.
It's better to at-least alternate taking rests to make sure you have the +1 bonus to skill gain buff, you CAN focus on one specific stat, and you will unlock extra scenes for doing so.
Each activity has an "upgrade" where you get a powerful card or bonus skills from completing it, once you have completed the activity enough. You will generally get an additional scene every 2 times you complete an activity up until the cap for the year you are in.
On the other hand, there are events and rewards you can only get by unlocking specific stats by certain points including: pets, augments, cards ect.
in german it would be easiert right now, for some reason I'm slower to understand it with this game.
Not sure what but I understood that i don't really miss out on anything crucial if I just do something for toughness 100 and go to biology stuff.
I was just thinking if I had to keep playing sportsball for an ending or something, your telling me I only can see some events every year? Will I notice for sure when I reached the end of the "respawned events?"
I call those the same as I see it for the field trips.
I think I heared that I'm not supposed to learn every skill, so I just started to go for the power part after a while.
I'm going to play now and try to figure out what I learned before asking more now.
Also, the timeframe is more lenient than it sounds. I got the first bonuses of every stat but Creativity by the end, and I was roleplaying as a dedicated scientist. It's amazing how much better later stat-training facilities are than the ones available at the start of the game.
