Filtering weapon and hud sprites/graphics
Too difficult to achieve? :/ C'mon guys, it's a bit of a remorse, an awesome cult classic like this, but the weapons are a real eye sore... Not even talking about the animations, but the textures... God...

Pixels are cool and all, but these aren't even the 1:1 kind, they're all like warped, like a stretched unfiltered image.

And I know about the GZDoom tc's, I bought this steam version because I wanted something 'official'. I want this, not GZDoom.

You are probably playing D64 using DirectX. It causes some heavy sprite distortions. Switch to OpenGL/Vulkan instead.

Also I made a small mod for myself some time ago: https://www.moddb.com/games/doom-64/addons/symmetrical-weapons

It simply adds a few pixels to weapons that make them look less chunky. Give this a try.

Thanks, I'm checking it out :)

Weapon sprites being skewed is a problem with the directx shaders being bugged. They look fine in OpenGL and Vulkan.

The weapon sprites not being filtered is intentional. They weren't filtered on N64.

There's a console command to turn of filtering for the whole image. I think it is r_filtering 0.
Not how the game looked in N64 original release but worth a try.

The original N64 release used 3-point filtering, not the other way around. Kaiser also provided a way to fix the broken DirectX 11 shaders.
