open and the blue key is inside that just keep hitting the switch till you find it’s location, it’s basically behind you once you have pressed the switch
Thanks for the help. Game is fun and the focus on puzzles keeps me wanting to play more levels without any pre-battle psychery. It's just that I never realized I needed to turn the sound up. :V

If we're being real, yeah. It is really weird and it makes the berserk feel... wimpier for some reason, even though it's exactly the same damage values as the originals.
Sounds like you might not have played other classic dooms so here's a hint about berserk that the game doesn't tell you - it lasts for the whole mission once you pick it up, not just while your screen is red. It's really misleading.
