Mission 6 : Stuck in a pit

How do you get out of the pit with the pinkies in level 6 ? I've been running in circles for 20 minutes. I looked up walkthroughs but they don't mention falling in, but it doesn't look like an instant death trap. I don't savescum in these old school shooters because they're usually designed to be played in one go or even pistol start but this one is so full of these BS traps I'm actually starting to dislike it. Atmosphere and lighting is great though

Nvm I just found the answer. There are small stairs that you can climb, half obscured and different from all the other stairs I encountered before. You have to hug the wall in a completely unnatural way to climb them. That's some BS

there are some death traps in this game. you might want to post a screen shot or something. did you hit E on all the surfaces? or Open? check the mini map.

is the room dark as sin? there is a stair way along the wall, that is verticle.

Be glad, some pits of death in 1 and 2 didn't have a way out.

oh yeah the invisible stairs one is so good
