Known bugs/issues thread
The binding screen is something of a crapshoot, requiring very specific steps to unbind/bind a key or for the keys to be manually changed through the console.

The minigun's animation displays incorrectly, 'jumping' upward every other frame and leaving a blank line of pixels at the bottom of the screen.

(Unconfirmed) I think this game suffers from some framerate hiccups, I can't confirm since I can't access the Steam overlay to turn on the FPS counter. Noticed this yesterday when playing 64 EX, which runs smooth all the time and then playing the final map of The Lost Levels. Framerate drop is minor (not 60 to 15, more like 60 to 50 on occasion), but enough to make the game feel odd every now and again.

What other issues have you noticed during gameplay? I haven't had time to give the full game a run, just level 1, Hectic, and the Lost Levels.

I've tried to run it but the graphics are über glitched, I literally cannot even read the menu to try to change the graphics options. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2031726256

EDIT: it was because of Vulkan. After following these instructions it runs fine: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1148590/discussions/0/1870623253806172068/

Are you using the Nvidia FPS capper by chance? It has issues with Vulkan and OGL currently.

there is a minor frame dip every now and then, but IMO was too rare compared to Doom 64 EX

No, I have that disabled.

Really? I played this game and EX yesterday for comparison and found the latter to be much more stable. They both play equally smooth, but this version was the only one I experienced any kind of stuttering in.

I dunno why or how, but somehow Doom 64 EX is guaranteed to have a fraction of second stutter whenever I turn, however this doesn't happen with this port.

If you're playing on Windows 10, did you make sure to replace the sdl files with the updated ones?

my issue is there is a slight mouse lag. not enough to make me not wanna play, but enough to be noticeable

The knock back with the rocket launcher is nearly non existent in this port. Makes Hectic way to easy and something feels of when using it.

The only bug I have dealt with so far is the lack of filtering on the menu graphics, and the weapon sprite. Everything in the world will be filtered/smooth including items and enemies, but not my shotgun... wtf!?

In the Nightdive Discord, I was told the original game didn't have filtering on those elements.

The side-to-side sway/bobbing is smooth on all weapons except the Unmaker and the chainsaw, where it seems to be stuck at 30 FPS.

The chainsaw is, but the unmaker definitely isn't.
