How does pressure pump work?

It says it changes pressure to match its temp but idk how you can convert pressure into temperature?

Use the HEAT and COOL tools in the tools menu to heat up PUMP to make it set the pressure next to it to the same temperature that it's at.

you go to the tools tab and use the heat/ cool tools, then whatever heat the pump is your pressure will be
